JÚLIA – 15 ANYS MÉS TARD

The Lliure premiered La senyoreta Júlia, directed by Fabià Puigserver, in 1985, with Lluís Homar and Anna Lizaran in the leading roles. Fifteen years after the premiere of her version of the classic, Christiane Jatahy presents Júlia - 15 anys més tard (2011-2026), a show co-produced by Teatre Lliure and Temporada Alta.

An special assignment from Teatre Lliure to the Brazilian director, who takes on the challenge of updating the proposal and bringing it to the current Catalonia. The new creation, with the Catalan actors Júlia Genís and Moha Amazian, dialogues with
the actors of the original Brazilian version, Julia Bernat and Rodrigo de Ode, creating new conversations between cinema and the scene.

Past and present come together to highlight the current relevance of a piece that deals with intolerance, prejudice and misogyny, which can still be seen through centuries and continents.
